" What is quercetin chalcone? I know quercetin

is a bioflavanoid (I used it for allergies some years ago), but what

is the chalcone bit? "

I found this on Wikipedia:

Chalcone is an aromatic ketone that forms the central core for a variety of

important biological compounds, which are known collectively as chalcones. They

show antibacterial, antifungal, antitumor and anti-inflammatory properties. They

are also intermediates in the biosynthesis of flavonoids, which are substances

widespread in plants and with an array of biological activities. Chalcones are

also intermediates in the Auwers synthesis of flavones.

" I would be a

bit suspicious about getting joint pain from it. I don't trust

" detox reactions " . "

My ND didn't like this either and took me off it once. Then I got a toxic

reaction to some local honey (dizziness for 1 1/2 weeks until I finally figured

out the source and removed it), and she placed me back on it. This time the

joint pain was more mild and lasted longer. The first time it lasted 3 days.

This time it lasted weeks and even still gives me mild pain here and there. It

is always in my lower back, like where it meets my pelvis. She said it sounded

like my body isn't keeping up with the detox and wanted me to slow down or quit

the MediClear. It is difficult for me to listen, when I am craving it so much!

Honestly I am not craving it at the moment, but consuming the green clay did

something for me. I suspect that is why I am not craving this MediClear right

now. Now I have stopped the clay, so we'll see.

" I wonder if you are just craving the protein and the basic vits

and mins? Maybe mix up some rice protein powder along with taking

your supplements and see if that fills the craving? "

Thanks, .

I do have rice protein shakes on the days I don't have the MediClear. I don't

crave them at all, but I haven't tried adding vitamins to them. I am wondering

if I can possibly be craving the active B-vitamins. It is the only supplement I

have that uses folinate, instead of folic acid. Do you think that could be it? I

keep reading the ingredients trying to figure it out. I just found online that

bioactive folate neutralizes homocysteine. Maybe that is it...

I have decided that I am going to try Thorne's multi, since it is the only one I

can find with all active B's. I have to wait until I get off my NeuroScience

products, though, because they are high in B vitamins (no folinate though).

If my iron and copper levels are low (red and yellow respectively), should I get

the multi with copper and iron or without? I am a menstruating female, so I

could probably use the iron. I am not sure if I should avoid the copper though.

DD says not to supplement with iron based on a low iron hair result.

Thanks,

Olif
