I’m in on Wednesday… good luck to you too, Beans… and and

a. As with Beans, I want to thank this group for the terrific

support, information, and humor.

Shiloh and – thanks again for sharing your stories and

encouragement regarding nursing. My youngest daughter is 5 ½ months old

and I’m realizing I’m not ready to stop nursing yet (I nursed my 3 year

old until she was 1). Thanks to you I have more resolve to give it my

darndest. I gotta tell you I thought I would definitely be in the

minority having this challenge… who would have thought there would be

other Moms out there putting themselves through this fun with little

ones crawling (or rolling) nearby? :-)

Take care,

Good luck . Unfortunately, my surgery was postponed until

October because of uncooperative roots. In the long run, I think it

will work better. My daughter will be 8 months then (I am guessing

our daughters birthdays are very close) and the weather will also be

cooler. The only bad side is Alabama's homecoming is 3 days after my

surgery and I am thinking that I won't be up for attending.

FYI, I spoke with the lactation nurse at the hospital I gave birth at

and she looked up the drugs I would be on. She said the Morphine was

okay. I am going to be on Deckadron (sp?) as a steroid and that was

also okay for the baby. She also told me I could start nursing as

soon as I was lucid (?). This seemed a little soon, but all around

good news for nursing.

Good luck with everything this week and let us know how things go.

Gawd, ...

Please forgive me, but only in Alabama would someone be upset about

not being able to attend a football game immediately post-op.

Hello to all,

I've been staying busy to keep my mind off of the surgery. But,

since it is tomorrow (Tuesday morning), I'm a bit nervous today. I

know I'll be OK. This site has been a great support system, I

appreciate all of you for listening and advising.

I'll post when I'm on the 'other side'. a

a,

Just wanted to send good wishes and thoughts your way. Your surgery will be a

success and your recovery will go well also. I know the feeling of the worrying

- its normal. I too will be having surgery soon waiting for the date from my

OS. Its a different surgery I am getting my jaw prosthesis removed. But I

wanted to say don't be nervous and scared and when you find yourself getting

crazy just remember its normal. It will all go fine and your results will be

wonderful.

Stay well,
