Guest guest
I'm posting this with Kerry's permission. I've done some editing on punctuation and spelling . . But this is Kerry's story . . Rogene------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Athena displays a lot of Autistic signs and I¢m sooo mad! A long time ago I thought she was Autistic. She was soooo behind as baby on certain things. Then goes through these spells. She doesn¢t want to grow up. She wants to always be a baby. I¢m starting to think her behavior now at 5, there¢s no one word. I¢m wrecked by the end of the day! She does this thing with her hands, like grabbing for a drink, and fidgets her fingers in a wanting motion. . . like trying to grasp it from far away, twiddling her fingers. That¢s how she asks for things w/o speaking! I don¢t know if it¢s a habit, I just don¢t know. Today we are going to get her a new puppy! With everything that happened already to her. I know one thing, her hair just doesn¢t grow!!!!!!!!!!!!! It¢s at the same length, forever and bald forever as a baby. She wants it long, but it just doesn¢t grow any more. . . I trimmed the ends finally 1/2 inch at the most after over a year of tangles and I¢m right back where I was before. When I was hospitalized while pregnant for Athena, they found the same spot Dr. G. Wiess states is possibly silicone on my lung. Being that they were leaking the whole time. . I know she is a SiliconeKid. Just last week she had another rash. This looked more like Logan¢s kind, that full body effect, but not as bad. I couldn¢t take any more pictures at that point. It went away in 3 days with one dose of Benadryl, dye free. I¢m sad, but happy that and you and the Autism folks are looking into this! I always thought this before! Sad but true! If you need anything, we are here! I think if I taped Athena with the camcorder it would shock a lot of people. When she is sick. . It¢s called the bad Athena, like there two different people. Just last night I lost it finally. You can call her name when she is sick. She knows the rules. I freak because I can¢t find her! She knows her mommy. I¢m scared to look up Autism. But I will again. Right now she is sitting playing with a flashlight. I will say she is a thousand times better as I feed her really healthy food and she plays out doors almost every day now. With her sweating it out. This child is soaked with night sweats. It¢s decreased with time and age. . But some nights I think she peed in the bed. Which, at 5, she does that every other night, but I did that from sound sleeping. Others think I need to nip it in the bud now. But not one of those people sit here and do the research, nor read like I do about SiliconeKids! She was not breast fed, Thank God. But oddly still had extreme swallowing difficulties with jar baby food. She survived on cereal bottles and I¢d put the food in a bottle so she used the nipple to suck and swallow. But never a whole jar because it was way too thick for her. Sorry I want to cry. .But I¢m stronger these days. Better go get the puppy, she named it Angel already . Oh one more thing, she looses control. Wow! She does not care where she is, or we are at. I¢m used to it, and it¢s like she can¢t hear what I¢m saying, no reasoning or the consequences for her actions. It¢s like a one track mind and you can not get through to her no matter what. She is fixated on flipping out, and you could tell her a ton of things to distract this moment and it¢s like she is blind and deaf in the bad Athena.
