Howdy y'all,

First of all congrats to recent post-ops ... no need to fret because

you're in the company of a fine crew here.

Anyway, I've just passed the 10 week post-op mark and everything is

pretty chill. Both my surgeon and ortho are all smug about the piece

of work they have collaborated on.

To recap, I had BSSO setback and genio. Some observations:

Fitment of bite - amazing how everything fits now.

Functionality - Eating is starting to feel quite natural. I had steak

last week albeit the most tender fillet mignon you can have. Chips

and fries - yes, but chewing gingerly.

Range of motion - Could be better, but I cannot complain. Probably

around the two finger range.

Numbness - Lips and chin feel normal for the most part. Every now and

then, I feel like there is water dripping on my chin, but not to the

extent that it is like hot water dripping or anything like that

Residual swelling - None that I can detect

Changes in facial appearance - I can't quite remember how I used to

look like, but if I compare pre and post op pictures, the differences

are very subtle. I really like my new chin! Most people don't notice

the changes. Some have said I have lost weight. And, our heroine,

Fiddlesticks exclaimed that I have a 'very nice chin' :)

Side note: If you think the photos of look fantastic. You

should see her in person! Mucho marvelous complemented by an

equivalent personality.

In closing, the recovery process thus far wasn't that bad. It was a

considerable commitment of mental and emotional strength, support from

friends and family members, and time. This commitment is probably

often understated by the doctors. I can resoundingly say that I am

thrilled of the results. In addition, I cannot forget the wealth of

empowerment this group has provided me in the process.

cheers,

on
