Guest guest
I wanted to add my two cents here. My Dr. is Dr. Brownstein (www.drbrownstein.com ) and he is working with Dr. Abraham and Dr. Flechas in clinical studies on iodine. You can view his video here - look for Video number 1 on this subject. http://vitamincfoundation.org/videos/#BROWNSTEIN He is in the process of setting up a lab in his office to test bromide, fluoride, chloride and mercury excretion in the urine. There is a lab that currently does this and they are finding that mercury is being released - especially when taking a Loading dose of Iodoral (pill form of Iodine / Iodide). They are only in the beginning stages of this but have been working on it for several years. So before you discredit this - there is more to the story. I work very closely with this Dr. - not only as a patient but as a researcher. I am also the moderator on the iodine group on Yahoo. You can check out our website as well www.iodine4health.com . There is something to it but the mechanisms are still being investigated. B.

I don't dispute there is a lot of benefit for many people in taking adequate iodide, I simply dispute that it increases mercury and lead clearance to a clinically significant extent, or helps clear it out of any relevant body compartment. I am correct in that view, too, it isn't a matter on which opinions may legitimately differ among any with expertise. I do sometimes suggest people use iodide, and am very supportive of using it when people tell me their doctor has prescribed it. > B. > > > > > >

Guest guest
You can e-mail him and ask him. info@... is his e-mail address. Just explain who you are. I have talked to him a bit about your method of chelation. He may not remember you but you can tell him your interest and I am sure he will be happy to share with you what he is doing and the scientific basis behind it. B. Guest guest
Thanks for posting these links, ! I just ordered Brownstein's iodine book. I hope it discusses doses for children too. I have been giving my 11 year old 4 drops of Lugol's a day for the last 2 weeks. I am going to start dividing the doses, instead of all 4 at once. What do you think about painting? Is that an accurate way to determine iodine deficiency? I remember painting my daughter last year, and it was gone almost immediately. She has always had low energy/low stamina. I am still waiting on her hair kit from DD to arrive. In one of the videos, Brownstein starts discussing iodine/iodide. He says both forms are good, because some organs prefer one form and others the other form. Then the video cuts off. Can you please explain this a little more in depth? We are in IL, thus likely deficient in iodine. We use Real Salt, which isn't iodized, and we always eat local produce/meat when we can. Actually all our meat comes from MI, and the beef is grass-fed, so the animals are likely iodine deficient too. Most of our produce is from IL/WI/MI. Thanks, Olif

Guest guest
Did you read this? http://www.optimox.com/pics/Iodine/IOD-09/IOD_09.htm or this? http://iodine4health.com/ortho/debate.htm His book does not cover children because as a rule he does not treat them. He has me giving my kids 3 drops of Detoxified Iodine 3x / week. Re: OT - Chelator of Mercury w/ Iodine Thanks for posting these links, ! I just ordered Brownstein's iodine book.
