Guest guest
After initially being quite excited about it, even posting a message here about it, I ultimately had the same problems with the Iredale pressed powder that Ruth describes...lots of bad acne-looking stuff. It seemed so unlikely to be happening from an otherwise highly recommended product that it took me awhile to accept that it was the Iredale causing the problem. Yet many people in the group do like it very much, so don't rule it out. Recently, I've been going the very minimalist route as to everything I put on my skin and how often I do it, and my skin is finally starting to look better: Broken capillaries, of course (I know I'll need photoderm or laser to address them), but less redness and fewer papules. This is after months and months of trouble, a series of trials of different products, etc. I am starting to think that wearing makeup, while it makes me look better in the short-term (read: daytime), makes me look worse in the long-term (read: what I look like in the morning). As to pizza...I am realizing sadly that tomatoes definitely make me flare. Dairy products and wheat may in a less immediate and less severe sense to. But again, it's all a matter of individual trial and error. Feeling rather dismal about having to give up tomatoes, I hope you don't!
