Guest guest
,I was just checking my email one last time before I pack up the computer and saw your good news.Way to go!I hope that everything works out in a win/win situation.I'll be thinking of you,LeeChuck, the other man I met with, assures me that more people will become organ donors throughout this ordeal, too. (Don't worry I have plenty of donor registration cards available!) He has high hopes of finding another donor for me, should my current potential donor be eliminated. He was so funny. I asked if we should do away with our future plans of fundraising (events we have planned Jan-Mar) if my donor is eliminated. Chuck said, "No. If this donor is eliminated we'll use the funds for the next donor. And if he/she is eliminated, we'll use it for the next donor, and if..." I said, "You mean there is an endless supply of donors available and no one told me?!!!" He grinned and assured me there will be after I make people aware of my situation! In fact, he said, you're doing a public service! That really is the best part of this for me. Yes, funding is necessary but public awareness of PSC and organ donation will be so rewarding on a much deeper level -- it'll give me something that a new liver can't -- purpose! Thanks for allowing me to share my good news! Say prayers that eyes and ears will be open during our fundraising! Guest guest
Eddie, my brother's friend, I discovered, was the president of the Lion's Club >>> , I'm excited for you that you have these special people to help you. My dad was a long time lions club member in MO with about 35 years perfect attendance. One of their big causes is for eye research and they actively encourage people to be willing to donate their eyes upon their death for research purposes and also for transplant so it is natural that they would be willing and excited to extend their giving to other parts of the body. Speaking at one of their meetings should be lots of fun for you. Blessings, Barby
