Thanks Lynda and Lea,

Her brother has convinced her to get help, and I do hope she goes

through with it and sticks to it. Her brother sees the problems and

he is able to get through to her. My husband will always have

issues where his daughter is concerned because he feels guilty, and

will unfortunately always be open for manipulation - so if she gets

help and her behavior improves, then hopefully we won't have these

issues. It's difficult when you've raised a child as your own and

then are told " they're not your kids " . I have a stepdaughter from

my first marriage who still thinks of me as one of her mothers, even

though I divorced her father 15 years ago, and I think she is not

only my past but my future.
