TSH High-Elaine

Hello everyone,

Well, got my labs back from last week and its no wonder my endo said I was " a

little HypO this time " . My labs were:

TSH-59.18 ref range .40-5.50

Free T4-.6 ref range .8-1.8

My last copy of labs my TSH was .12 this was in January. I do not have a copy

from February, forgot to get it. But will post on Monday when I get them from

my endo. When my endo called he ended up raising my Synthroid to .1mcgs a day

along with 40 mgs of Tap. I guess he is trying the B & R. I really don;t like

it and I am seeking another opinion. Also, Elaine, on my lab results there is

a result called RDW. Do you know what this might be. The labs that were

ordered were, CBC w/Diff and Hepatic Panel. Of everything listed on this

report, the RDW was 13.4 with ref range of 11.0-15.0, so its within range,

but I have no clue what it is. If you could pop in with this I would

appreciate it. Also, the TSH, with it being so high, are there any major

health issues that I should be scared about. My TSH has been up and down so

much, that I don;t know if I'm coming or going.... I am however feeling

better. But I have had muscle spasms so bad that they are leaving bruises.

Just concerned. Any input from anyone on this subject would be helpful.
