Guest guest
Dear Group, I'm sure this subject has been brought up before, so forgive me for repeating. Is there a *safe* medication PSC patients can take if they are found to have adult ADD. My son is 24 and I have long suspected he was mildly ADD. He doesn't have the hyper part...just hyper in his brain. I think with his job the symptoms are becoming more obvious to him. He says he just can't slow his brain down. I was reading up on straterra and it had a huge warning for people with liver problems so I'm sure that is out. Also, believe it or not he doesn't have a general practicioner doctor, just a GI and Hep. Does he need to make an appointment with a GP or bring it up to his GI when he sees him in a week? was not receptive to the idea of bringing it up to his GI. I also had to assure him he would not be sent to a psychiatrist. He thinks there is a stigma attached to having ADD. Unfortunately is hardwired exactly like me, his mom. We both have some OCD tendencies, anxiety, impulsive, and this was all before PSC came on the scene. Alright all you experts out there, send your wisdom. Thanks, Terry ( mom of , 24 yrs. old, diagnosed UC/PSC, March 2000 )
