Guest guest
Are you scanning these in or is DD now providing them electronically? I have a paper copy of mine from 2002. My mercury was off the chart - literally a black line right across the entire page. Hair Test 46 - Olif Hi All, Olif's hair test is number 46 http://www.livingnetwork.co.za/healingnetwork/hairtest.html Please have a look an comment. Her history: 1) Fatigue (for 1 1/2 years), multiple food sensitivities, gut dysbiosis, mood swings, brain fog, shyness All basic bloodwork normal. Tests from an ND confirm adrenal fatigue and low neurotransmitter production 2) 5 amalgam fillings, none replaced yet- 4 done around 1986, 1 around 1990 3) Lots of supplements at time of hair test- amino acids with B-vitamins, and some minerals (from NeuroScience to help serotonin, dopamine, etc.), MediClear detox protein shake from Thorne, basic amino acid supplement with molybdenum and MSM (this helped with dream recall, possibly by the MSM and molybdenum helping with acetylcholine levels), cod liver oil, calcium (about 500mg), digestive enzymes, Primal Defense probiotic 4) Just recently added fish oil, about 2g/day 5) 32 year old female- I had detox reactions from the MediClear, which included joint pain. I also had strong cravings for the MediClear (I believe my body knew it needed to detox). I had tremendous energy, strength, and mental focus after one dose of green clay in water. Daily this helped for about 5 days before I started getting detox symptoms- diarhhea, nausea, dizziness. During the summer I craved sweating- again I think this was my body knowing I need to detox. Family history- I have a paternal grandfather with Alzheimer's, so he likely carries the ApoE e4 allele. I might be a carrier as well, which would decrease my ability to remove heavy metals. Both maternal grandparents have diabetes (I think I have seen this connected to the e4 allele). Both parents have northern European heritage (German (with some Native American) and English). Guest guest
I'm looking through these test results and so far do not see anyone with levels as high as mine were. I had 8.4 PPM on mercury and both mercury and bismuth were right off the charts. The line was not only in the red but off the page - solid black straight across. I can see now why I benefited from large dose chelation and was way sicker than most. I was bedridden. I did not realize so many of you had such low levels of mercury compared to me. Have any of you had levels of mercury as high as me? I'd assumed we all did and now I feel like I'm pretty alone out here trying to get back on the chart! Seems most of you have moderate toxicity and very low essentials. My toxicity was high. I also had levels of cadmium, titanium, and tin similar to what most of your mercury levels are. I definitely show deranged mineral use as the key items in mercury toxic people were all very high (red zone) on the charts while I was showing symptoms of deficiencies. Toxic soup. Where on earth would I contract cadmium, titanium, and tin in that quantity? If I can squeeze it out $ wise I might get a hair test and the blood test. I sure would like to see if my hair count came down. Most people do not get frank high mercury levels. People who get high levels are able to excrete it, which is a good thing, although they can still become toxic. People who have low levels and deranged mineral transport often are not excreting it - thus, low mercury levels, all by themselves can raise some suspicion of mercury toxicity. The real test is whether a person meets the counting rules. Many of the tests you are looking at, despite the low mercury level, meet the counting rules and this indicates their mineral transport is deranged. A current hair test might give you more information about the current state of your thyroid, adrenals, blood sugar, but if your prior test met the counting rules and had high mercury level, that is certainly diagnostic. If you haven't chelated properly since then, you are still toxic and need to chelate. Of course you know that --

Guest guest
Most of us have lower levels because we do not excrete mercury at all. Instead storing it in places like our brain. So with toxicity it can show up either way. Way to high levels in the hair or abnormally low levels. The different hair levels don't relate to how toxic any of us are in comparison. Our hair tests can look totally different but we can both be very sick. It also messes up some peoples minerals but not others. Your not alone here. I show many deficiencies of minerals but very low levels of Hg...however, I have NO hair lithium..this is an Hg symptom. And it is possible that your hair test was done at time close to recent exposure to mercury. As where mine last exposure was 5 years ago...etc. In any case we would both be sick. Cadmium is from cigarettes mainly, also in paint. If you live near a coal fired power plant...cadmium and mercury exposure. Tin is in a lot of things, as is titanium( sunscreen). My hair cadmium is insainly high. Tin is a component of mercury amalgam fillings. So many of us have high tin. It's also in solder which is used on our water pipes. There are many enviornmental sources of heavy metals, basically everywhere. And it adds to our body burden. > > I'm looking through these test results and so far do not see anyone with levels as high as mine were. Guest guest
My lithium was nonexistent too. I also have deranged mineral transport... still wondering how my levels got so high. I had not had a mercury exposure (known) for at least 6 months before the test. As for the cadmium I never liked smoke and did not hang around anyone who smoked. We don't have any coal plants here so I'm confused how I got such high cadmium levels. The pipes in the house I was living in at the time were all PVC - very modern. The water did have lead problems the county was treating it for though my lead level was extremely low at .17. I'm just baffled at where these metals came from? I don't understand what you mean when you say someone with high levels can excrete it. If that's the case why is the level high? The water did have lead problems the county was treating it for though my lead level was extremely low at .17. I'm just baffled at where these metals came from? I don't understand what you mean when you say someone with high levels can excrete it. If that's the case why is the level high?

Guest guest
Ceramic's - like a dish that is cracked or chipped. Also dental cements. My bismuth was off the chart (way past the red). Between the mercury and the bismuth I'd say dental was my issue because I don't eat off broken dishes... yum, yum! Be careful with sweating and watch your electrolyte balance. Especially true for adrenal fatigued people. I think the amount of exposure we get these days is a bigger factor than genetics. Your hair test meets counting rule 3 with only 10 in green/white. It doesn't meet counting rule 1, but still looks like an " all low " presentation. The toxics may be more significant than they appear. Both of your thyroid ratios are out of range. Blood tests will be more informative, along with a physical exam of your thyroid. Iodine in low red may or may not be real, but given the abnormal thyroid ratios, you may want to consider a supplement to see if it helps. Don't start thyroid treatment without treating your adrenals first, as this will make the adrenals worse. Low hair iron suggests lead toxicity. DMSA along with ALA would be the best choice for chelation (after amalgams are removed). A lithium supplement may help with mood swings. --
