I know about those days, . What really bothers me is that it took me

so long to figure out that you meant to write " Moo. "

Interesting about conforming to astm-d means non-toxic. Good thing to know.

Last summer when I was really struggling to make ends meet, I was offered half a

pig by a farming family in my Catholic homeschooling group.

I had no freezer space; my freezer is tiny. " Well, " said comfortably,

" We're moving soon. We'll get it to you then AND give you our old freezer. "

They did this on Saturday. It is GIGANTIC, like a car, practically. And she

put all the food in it it that wouldn't fit into their newer freezer. They are

moving to a smaller place and probably cannot accommodate two freezers.

Nearly all the food was fresh from their garden. I have pints of corn that she

put up and a huge bag of green beans and another huge bag of blueberries. I

have her fresh tomato sauce and her homemade barbecue sauce.

And today, when I got out a packet of stew meat to make a beef stew I discovered

something else.

The meat was from their own cows.

That would be the best gift. I'd just love it if someone did that

for us. I grew up on a dairy farm so we had big tank freezers like

that out the wazoo. The meat always tasted so much better than any

you'd buy in a store too. LUCKY YOU. And if you ever hit the

lottery, you'd have to remember them :D (thats what I always say)
