Dee,

What about trying a new doctor? Sounds like this doctor is not willing to go as far as you want. So I see only two choices. Become happy with her (would be very difficult for me to do) or find a new doctor that will listen.

Gluten Free makes me feel good and it taste good too!

,That's what I'm about ready to do, though I seem to be limited to two major choices for medical care thanks to my insurance. The local public health or the local university hospital. So it's not like I have a lot of choice in the matter. Guess at this point it couldn't hurt to at least do some research into other providers.

Dee,

Is it just the area you are in that it is limited to the two areas or can you leave town for a larger selection? I have usually be able to get a few more if I am willing to travel. We were able to head out for 2 procedures on our daughter to Seattle and we then got a refferal to our local doctor so now it is only about 60 miles away from where we live. 60 miles is still a long ways with little ones and winter roads but not undoable.

I wish you the best for getting to a good doctor.

,Problem is I have Medicaid and Medicare for insurance. Unless I've missed something, it's the major more or less public systems that take those without issues. And that's in Seattle. Or at least that was the case as best as I could figure six months ago when I only had Medicaid.

Dee,

I would check into whether other doctors are covered with your plan. I

used to check in on a lady who spent part of the year down here in

Florida. I took her to the doctor a time or two. It was a private

physician, not one in a clinic. She was on Medicare.

Good luck,

Dee,

Are you on the passport provider system? You should be able to choose a new provider once a month until you can find one.

I know you are not stuck with the same doctor if you have problems with a doctor. We are also on Medicaid for our kids and we do not had a problem with doctors here so far. But we are also seeing the same doctors we had before we went on Medicaid.
