Guest guest
100% of us have trouble with " PORTION CONTROL! " I'll have to say a big AMEN to that statement. That is my down fall, I eat the right foods, just way too much of them. Like my flax seed that I bought - can't remember to use it - so now it is sitting out on my cabinet! > > I liked the panel question about the " triggers " , too - - chocolate is mine - and I don't keep it in the house! I don't care where I put it - it would still be accessible, and would not be forgotten! I agree that " measured " amounts of anything are ok, but anything chocolate is NOT going to be eaten in measured amounts, unless that " measured amount " is all I bring home from the store! One lady said she liked ice cream, but she buys the small cups and eats only one - and is not tempted to dip out a larger amount from a larger container. Good idea - - And I've noticed that you can buy a lot of snacks now in individual 100 calorie packages, so that would be a good idea, too. I think 100% of us have trouble with " PORTION CONTROL! Guest guest
I still crave my sweets so bad and I pat myself everyday on the back for passing them up. I feel like an alcoholic going to AA meetings.....I day at a time, one hour at a time.....hope it gets easier as more time goes by. It's only been about 2 months, so much for that 3 week theory. Love ay, * * * * , do you eat sugar free Jell-O & sugar free instant pudding made with 1% or skim milk?? The pudding (especially chocolate) really got me through the tough spots when I was trying to reach my goal. And some of the sugar free hard candy helps, too. And I chew a ton of sugar free gum! I could never do without sweets completely - - - you just have to eat the ones that don't have a lot of calories!! (((HUGS))) Clara

Guest guest
I'm right there with y'all on this one. I gave up eating sweets a while back and now eat the foods that I'm supposed to but know my portions are bigger than they should be but it seems like without that "extra" I am hungry all the time. I still crave my sweets so bad and I pat myself everyday on the back for passing them up. Love ay, Yopu know what one of my biggest downfalls is when I clean the table I lick the spoons, and they aren't always empty lol. that is why I have sugar free fudgesycles around they are 40 calories a piece and are sufficient to take care of my crave---ahead of time. Guest guest
I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL. I'M NOT OFF OF SWEETS, BUT I'M OFF OF SODA. IT'S BEEN 3 WEEKS NOW AND I STILL CRAVE THEM. SO I JUST GET A FLAVORED WATER. IT'S BEEN RALLY ROUGH THOUGH, ESPECIALLY WHEN EVERYONE IS DRINKING SODAS AROUND ME. I CRAVE THEM VERY BADLY, BUT MY FAMILY KEEPS ME FROM HAVING THEM. ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS FOR KEEPING FROM THEM.Clara Gleghorn wrote: I still crave my sweets so bad and I pat myself everyday on the back for passing them up. Guest guest
Gloria, I never could drink 'diet soda' regular for me or nothing! Last April when I found out I was diabetic, I gave up ALL soft drinks that very day. In fact I had a 44 ouncer in the truck waiting for me when I got out of the doctor that day, and I poured it out! And I haven't looked back. I drink iced tea with artificail sweetener, water, lemon water, homemade lemonaide and minute maid light is good also. It comes in may different fruit flavors, I have also found a new drink called FUZE slenderize, it also comes in several fruit flavors and it's very good. I don't miss the sodas at all and I used to drink anywhere from 3-6 a day. My orthopedist is really glad 'cause carbination is really bad for the bones and I have degenerative bone desease in my spine. I think the longer you stay off of them,,,,the easier it will get..just hang in there. Is there a special medical problem besides overweight that caused you to give up sodas? I made a concious decision that April day that I was gonna 'Ban the Can' ....I hope this helps in some small way. Big Tops Hugs, in Fritch p.s. I don't eat refined sugar or white flour products either. The things I decided to do without have helped me lose 46.50lbs. since April. My dr. says I can have these things in moderation, but I prefer not to start eating them again, 'cause as of right now I don't crave them. Re: Good Monday Morning I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL.
