I was so intrested in finding answers I was researching this morning.

Mercury is no longer used in the production of felt, It seems to be government

regulated now because felt hat makers were getting very sick.. This was an older

practiced used in making hats. It is however still used in a ton of stuff, very

intresting.

USES

a.. Barometers

b.. Catalysts And Pigments

c.. Cells for Caustic Soda and Chlorine Production

d.. Dental Amalgams

e.. Electrical Instruments

f.. Fungicides/Preservatives (most uses now banned)

g.. Investment Casting

h.. Laboratory Reagent

i.. Manometers

j.. Medicines

k.. Mercury Vapor Lamps

l.. Metal Plating

m.. Photography

n.. Synthetic Silk

o.. Solder

p.. Tanning and Dyeing

q.. Textile Production

r.. Thermometers

s.. Use In Boilers/Turbines For Electricity Generation

HISTORICAL USES

I find this entire thing really intresting. I always knew about the Mercury in

vaccines and questioned that but it looks as if we are exposed with many

products. I'm just glad to know it's not the toys my kids are playing with.

Does anyone have links related to Autism that I can look at? Thanks
