Re: Has anyone chelated w/DMSA & ALA while taking doctor perscribed medications?

Hi there,

Andy Cutler's book mentions taking different things, including

antidepressants etc, and that goes for some different herbs also,

maybe for antifungal use or otherwise, alongside taking the usual

chelating agents. Many of us have chelated whilst taking all sorts

of different things. Some may take St 's Wart for their

depression, and at the sametime things for their candida. There does

not seem to be any issue with interaction.

The only problem I have heard of is when taking ALA and having to be

careful of copper, as ALA already increases copper while you take

it....not sure of anything else. ALA is just an antioxidant anyway,

but happens to be a powerful mercury chelating agent.

Hope that helps

.

Many people on Mercury Autism are chelating with Andy's protocol and

have their kids on tons of meds in addition to it. I have not heard

of there being any problem or interference from the dmsa/ala with

the meds you listed.

Dmsa and ala only bind to metals and remove them, so they should not

interfere. We use herbs all the time and have seen no problem with

using them with dmsa. Just make sure to read all the pamphlets that

came with those scripts for interactions. dmsa is a sulpher

compound. But it should not do anything to your scripts.

With chelation and glandular support you may find that the tricyclic

is not needed anyway.
