Guest guest
I Hope you have all found something good that has happened through the summer. It has taken me a good week to get through all the e-mail, and I've read some good news, and some sad.... My only news is as the 4th anniversary of my transplant approaches, (and I hope the fates are not reading e-mail because I don't want to jinx myself), I feel really good!!! I hope that will encourage the individual who said he was reluctant to pursue a transplant. "HEY" get to a transplant team and get into the system. One thing we all know about PSC is that it doesn't go away. The only effective treatment is to get a transplant. Meds will help, and procedures will postpone the inevitable, and there are often many years of normal life, but to not pursue a new liver, is giving up. We all stand on the spiral of PSC. We can either spiral down, or try to keep climbing up by doing everything possible to stay alive. If Luck, or the God of your choice, smiles, we find good docs, a good transplant program and prepare for the blessing of a transplanted liver. If you don't prepare yourself to be blessed, you won't be. MizKit ( PSC '81, UC '95, Tx '02, proctocolectomy '04,) feeling good in Michigan, which is East of Minnesota.
