Guest guest Posted August 15, 2002 Report Share Posted August 15, 2002 Here are the two recipies: TACO SOUP Recipe from Zotz 12 servings (1 cup) 3 points per cup 1lb Very Lean Ground Beef 1 lg Onion, chopped 2 Tbl Ranch Dressing Mix 2 Tbl Taco Seasoning Mix 1 tsp Chili Powder 1 can Black Beans, keep liquid 1 can Red Kidney Beans, liquid 1 can Cannellini Beans, keep liquid 1 can Whole Kernal Corn, drained 1 can Mexican Stewed Tomatoes, keep liquid Brown meat and onions, drain and rinse well. Mix beans and seasonings into meat. Add all other ingredients. Simmer for 45 minutes. I like to serve this over rice for an additional 3 points. ********************************************************************************\ ******* TACO JUNK Serving Size : 12 1 PT per 1/2 cup 1 pound ground beef, 95% 1 can corn, low sodium 1 can tomatoes, canned 1 can pinto beans, canned 1 package ranch-style dressing mix 1 package taco seasoning mix 2 cups salsa Brown ground beef and rinse. Put all ingredients in crockpot and cook on high for 4 hours. Per Serving (excluding unknown items): 59 Calories; trace Fat (7.8% calories from fat); 2g Protein; 10g Carbohydrate; 2g Dietary Fiber; 5mg Cholesterol; 530mg Sodium. Exchanges: 1/2 Grain(Starch); 0 Lean Meat; 1/2 Vegetable; 0 Other Carbohydrates. Sometimes I add more chopped green chilies, jalapenos and onion. I like spicy!
