Please post your Shepherd's Pie Recipe...I bought about 8 cans of Progresso Creamy Mushroom when I was out the other day because I haven't found it anywhere in a LONG time. Always welcome new recipes!!

:-) in VA

Amys Organic

I have a worry maybe some of you can help me with. I was buying some of the GF frozen products that Amy has. Namely the enchilada bowles..I noticed that it claims on the back that it is processed in a facility that also processes wheat. Now I have been really careful with cross contamination and now I have this to worry about. As we all know..wheat flour is so light that it can get into anything. Does anyone have any advice on this? When I travel I usually stop at a grocery store and pick up one of these for dinner in the hotel room and now I'm wondering if I should. PS : I tried the progresso mushroom soup and thickened it with some white rice flour and made my sheperds pie ( my version) and thought I had died and gone back to gluten heaven!!! My daughter and I are the only ones who enjoy this thick creamy comfort food and she was so impressed with it. I think she has CD (although not tested yet) and she sooo enjoyed it. If anyone would like this recipe, let me know. It's easy and so delicious.Kim

I've eaten Amy's soups w/o worrying about it. I thought the Progresso

mushroom soup had gluten in it. The only time I ate it, I got sick.

Maybe it was the portabella one. Wasn't sure what " got me " . Send the

recipe for your shepherd's pie; sounds yummy.

I personally do not worry about Amy's products. I buy them all the time

and have not had any noticable reaction to them. At least Amy's is

willing to label them gluten free.. I feel more confident in a health

centered company like Amy's than with a more mainstream company. I

think that this situation exists in most companies, if not all, and

it's just that some companies are more honest than others. Also,

companies have to worry not just about celiac but severe reactions like

some people have with miniscule amounts of say, peanuts, so i think

they label it in this way to protect themselves legally.
