Guest guest Posted February 6, 2006 Report Share Posted February 6, 2006 The Burger King site lists their french fry ingredients as: FRENCH FRIES (FRIED) Potatoes, Partially Hydrogenated Soybean Oil, Modified Potato Starch, Rice Flour, Potato Dextrin, Salt, Leavening (Disodium Dihydrogen Pyrophosphate, Sodium Bicarbonate), Dextrose, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate added to preserve natural color. HOWEVER...over and over again I hear how people find onion rings mixed with their fries, and I've seen them use the same tongs, etc., so there is no way I'd eat them...not worth the risk. He says you can watch them cut the potatoes right there, and they don't seem to have any gluten fried products. I checked their web page, which was pretty uninformative, and then emailed them to see if they could verify that their fries were GF. I will let you know what I find out. I know this doesn't help those of you out of this area, but it's something. I'll still be out of luck on any midwest road trips, sigh... I have heard numerous tales of onion rings in the fries so I would indeed worry about contamination.
