I have very dry eyes. In fact, my optometrist stained

my eyes and diagnosed my with profoundly dry eyes;

eyes of eighty year old man. I have no idea if this

is related to the PSC, but when I feel really good

everything is much better; Crohn's symptoms, arthritis

symptoms, energy, etc.

I, too, have very dry eyes as well as dry mouth. My GI dr. feels it may

be Sjogren's and is probably related to the PSC and/or Crohn's. Also, I

have cataracts due to the years of prednisone usage.

Myrtle,

I had problems with a blind spot in my vision that was especially

noticable at low light levels (moonlit nights). I saw several doctors

about the problem before eventually adding AD & E vitamins supplements,

which caused the blind spot to gradually disappear. I thnk my PSC has

caused poor absorption of fat soluble vitamins so I need more than

usual to get enough into my system.

Myrtle,

Hello from Northwestern Ontario. I too have had trouble with my eyes over

the last couple of years. They seem to get very dry, sore and itchy at

times. I can't produce tears most of the time? Don't know if this related

to PSC or not.

As with just about anything else that ails me, I have also wondered

whether PSC is responsible for my floaters. Probably not - it's very

common in those with poor (myopic) vision as we age (not sure if

that's good or bad!). See

http://www.agingeye.net/visionbasics/flashesandfloaters.php, for

example.

Arne,

My opthamologist doubts that there is any connection between PSC and my floaters. I guess that means I have to accept aging as the culprit.
