Guest guest
Hi All, I went yesterday afternoon for my initial consultation at a photoderm clinic in Greenwood Village, CO. Dr. Laronn at this clinic has been trained by Dr. Bitter Sr. in the photofacial technique. Well, much to my dismay, when I got there, they had only scheduled me to speak to a RN. The RN did fine at answering all my questions, and has been doing photoderm for 3 years, and doing photofacial for almost 1 year. She never even looked at my skin though, and she couldn't asnwer any questions about cea, or seb derm, only photoderm. She will be the one doing the treatment if I decide to go ahead with it. After I was done speaking with the RN, I asked if I could at least meet Dr. Laronn. I had to wait about 20 minutes, but I did get to meet the Doctor, who actually looked at my skin and was very friendly and knowledgable. I think I would feel so much more comfortable if the doctor was doing the treatment and not the RN. Do you guys think I'm being silly? Anyways, the cost, if you pay up front, with cash or check is $2,100 for 5 photofacial treatments, and they throw one in for free, so you actually get 6. It is a little more if you pay as you go, or use a credit card. I don't feel completely comfortable with this yet, so I am going to try and set up an appointment with a Dr. in Longmont who was trained by Dr. Bitter Jr. Anyways, I was just wondering if people felt comfortable having RN's or assistants perform the photoderm treatment, or if I should demand that the Dr do it? What do you think about the pricing compared to the rest of the US? Thanks for any comments. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com
