Guest guest
yellow oozing is sign of infection...I believe. I would call your doc and let him or her know. Guest guest
- Not all yellow oozing is bad. Like someone has already responded, sometimes you get pockets of " junk " under the skin do to the irritation of having staples in, so after the staples are out, it oozes, 'cuz it's not needed anymore. Definately check with the Dr., keep an eye on your temperature...and go from there. If it's what they call " Vitrious " fluid (I think I spelled that right)...then it's just normal " junk " made by your body. But...like everyone else said...definately run it by the Dr. :-) Jeff ~How do you explain counterclockwise to a kid who grew up with a digital watch?~ ozzing from scar aft does anyone have any informationon getting some ozzing from the scar left from the removal of the staples. I am 13 days post-op , had my staples out on Monday afternoon. Everything was looking good and yesterday a yellow ,odorless, liquid stating comming out of one spot. It looks like there is a small hole. Thanks
Guest guest
, I oozed for quite a while after my staples came out whereas before the removal of my staples I didn't ooze at all. It was yellow and odorless and I took my temperature every day (never had a fever at all). I called the doctor's office twice and each time after carefully describing it and saying I had no fever they told me it was normal and to just keep it fairly dry. Finally what I did was go to the drug store and buy some steri strips. I put 2 steri strips on to keep the opening squished together a little bit so it would start closing up. WIthin 3 days all oozing stopped and it closed up. It's been about 6 days since I did that and it's all closed and fine now. Watch it carefully and call the doc, but if no fever and no odor you should be okay. Peg
