Guest guest
a, A few months ago I met a friend who I had not seen for several years. She brought her Mother whom I had never met before. She was a spry and wonderful 90 yr old. We were discussing our health and the mother said she really was doing good bu hated the way she looked . Her forehead was covered with eraser sized hard yellow bumps. She told me she had untreated cea for years. Her Dr. said years ago nothing could be done and in those years probably there was not treatment.I feel this is Sebaceous Hyperplasia that we are finding out about today. I have 3 fairly small bumps now and all this sticks in my mind and soon will have it looked at. But, am reading Dr. Weil's pocket book, Spontaneous Healing. On page 59, he tells of Bloodroot that has a peculiar ability to dissolve abnormal growths on the skin without harming normal tissue thought the skin. Has anyone ever heard of Bloodroot.ever used it or seen any other information about removing these bumps? Hazel, would you know about this? Just wondering? a, if you could read this, let me know what you think about it? RS
Guest guest
Interesting. I also have these bumps on my forehead. I had laser done this summer and I didn't feel it did any good. When I went back to my derm 10 wks later for evaluation of the laser treatment I mentioned the info I had from this group about the raised areas. He poo-pooed the idea it had anything do to with rosacea. I'm going to another derm mar 1 and will question him. If I get any different info will report. Thanks, Nita K Sebaceous Hyperplasia Someone mentioned sebaceous hyperplasia as a common condition accompanying rosacea in a recent post. I have about 5 of these yellowish glands that have risen to the surface of my forehead. They are not raised and not very noticeable (except to me). However, it is rather alarming that all have occurred in the past couple months. Has anyone had success treating these, and if so how? Research on the web indicates it takes about 3 laser treatments to eliminate the sebaceous hyperplasia. Has anyone used a one-time treatment method that worked?
