Dave,

I was near the Ladue area yesterday. My endoscopist has an office at Mo. Bapt. hospital.

PSC, honestly, is starting to get on my nerves! :-) I've had PSC/UC for nearly 23 years now, but it didn't really start interfering with my life until 1997. That's when I was first seen my the hepatologists at -Jewish. I was listed for transplant (tx) there, last June.

It's my understanding that Dr. Bacon at SLU is a good PSC doc. Is that who you've been seeing there. My endo., who is wonderful, has nothing but good things to say about Dr. Bacon.

I hope all gets resolved with you soon!

Hi ,

I live in Ladue. How are you doing with

PSC? I have been taken care of by SLUH’S liver division and they

discovered this disease 2 years ago.

Yes, Dave, when I read that you've been suffering with fever and chills I got worried, too. I actually was sepsis, back in 1997, and came as close as I'd ever like to be to dying. My guess is, you've been having cholangitis attacks, and left unattended they can become sepsis. I'm glad to see that you aren't going to try to muddle through these episodes any more!

Good luck at Mayo and God bless you, too!

Hi ,

Yes, I am seeing DR. Bacon at SLU. They are

pretty good but I still want to get a 2nd opinion by the Mayo

clinic. These chills and fevers the past 4-5 month’s is terrible.

I have had them 5 times now in this time

period. Everyone has been very helpful on this site and open your eyes more.

Good luck on your liver transplant and god

bless you.
