Re: Question on supplements sources - VRP, Vitamin Shoppe I do a lot of my supplement shopping from The Vitamin Shoppe. I'm a fan of Thorne. I also use KAL, Solgar and Source Naturals regularly. Allergy Research, too (liquid molybdenum is good). I've even bought Vitamin Shoppe's generic brand of cal/mag and potassium. I haven't had a problem with any Vitamin Shoppe brand (yet), but I tend to shy away from their brand since they often contain more filler ingredients than I wish to use. If you are using fish oils, Nordic Naturals have been very, very good to me! If you are using flax, Barlean's is a quality product (great liquid flax/borage). Both available at Vitamin Shoppe. My advice is to avoid lots of fillers. It is a time consuming job to read the labels, but worth it. If you are looking for a multimineral/vitamin, watch out for hidden alpha lipoic acid in the long list of 'extra' ingredients. Good luck!
