Guest guest
I haven't even looked at this yet . . But a newpaper article I read today said that you can give away, or get, anything (less porno junk) on www.freecycle.com . . . Anyone who prefers to see their things recycled, or can't afford something, may find help there. Rogene

Guest guest
Rogene, Freecycle rocks!!! Through Freecycle I personally have gotten an almost new interior door, which I used to make myself a large ironing area by wrapping it with insul-brite fabric and making a washable cover for it. I also have gotten two free bureaus, which I put in my sewing area - the taller one to hold less-frequently used items for artwork and sewing and the shorter one, backed up to a partial stick together plastic set of shelves. The shorter one and the shelves support a table top where I can cut out fabric, draw, use my (Freecycle again) professional lightbox, etc. I have gotten many things, and the posts each day are numerous. I am a little leary of the posts for free food, but you get to know the regular posters, and if you deal with them a few times, you get to know them and it's pretty safe. One guy in our local Freecycle just gave away his Christmas turkey carcass to someone to make soup with. You can also post needs (within reason) for things, and people seem very quick to respond. The only thing is that you have to go pick up the item, as they are giving it away free, it is expected that you pick it up and be there when you say you will, or have someone do it for you. It is meant to keep good things out of the landfills and it is wonderful~ Devon > > I haven't even looked at this yet . . > > But a newpaper article I read today said that you can give away, or get, anything (less porno junk) on www.freecycle.com . . . > > Anyone who prefers to see their things recycled, or can't afford something, may find help there. > > Rogene >
Guest guest
We've used freecycle for a long time and it's great. We've received things like figs, walnuts, plants, furniture, etc and have given away a rooster, furniture, magazines. . . Bindi
