I used to be 5'9, and when I was measured this year for the first time in 5 years, I was only 5'7 & 1/2! It was really depressing, since I have always enjoyed being tall. The doc says it is probably more a matter of bad posture due to my weight... which didn't exactly make me feel better, but gives me hope that I might be able to regain that stature!
