Guest guest
Sue, Welcome! I'm Gena :-) If you've been reading posts you have probably seen about me already. The short of it is I'm 38, married 20 yrs in July, have 2 girls, live in Alaska. At my heaviest I was 284 and am 207 now. The basics are it has to be a new lifestyle. Work on habits and behaviors, little things. Just make little changes, they all add up. Yes, eating several times a day helps and yes lots of water and exercise. But you don't have to all the sudden do everything at once. Work up gradually with the water, maybe each day drink one more glass. With exercise, go for 10 min a day, then each week increase by 5 min, ect... With eating, eat off smaller plates, take smaller bites, chew longer, things like that. I posted an article last night about how people who lose weight and keep it off are successful because they change their attitude about it. They think about feeling good, being healthier, living longer. Not just weight loss or looking better. Attitude makes a big difference. You have to really want it for the right reasons and for you. It's nice to meet you. I hope to hear more from you.
