There are lots of quite good GF recipes for holiday cookies, and there also plenty of non-cookie GF treats that work well over the holidays - like fudge. Yes, the swap as it happened before is probably out, but I went to one a while back that was a " holiday goodies swap " - some brought homemade jam, others ornaments they had made, some made candy - the limit is in your imagination! Guest guest
And let's not forget my daughter's math paper for December: write about making twelve dozen cookies for a cookie swap. She made GF cookies! See the pictures in the photo album. AND, she got 108 points out of a possible 100. :-) Proud mama in Rhode Island > > > > Gluten-free does not mean the end of Christmas cookes! > >

Guest guest
She deserves over 108 points for making GF cookies!!! And mathmatically dividing any GF recipe to just make 12!!! I should know I've been halfing recipes to try, how's 1/2 an egg work? Measure the egg with a Tablespoon and then divide by 2... usually about 2 1/2 T for a 1/2 egg in case anyone was wondering. I'm glad she got an A++. Way to go!!! Rejoyce VA > > > > > > > > Gluten-free does not mean the end of Christmas cookes! > > > > >
Guest guest
Just do a cookie swap with the celiac group in your neighborhood! Or, have a homemade chocolate or truffle swap... mmm... > > > > > Gluten-free does not mean the end of Christmas cookes!

Guest guest
Passover is coming, and in the past, I have made “kiss” cookies, which are essentially meringue flavored with the extract of choice. Of course, they will also work for xmas if flavored as say peppermint, as they are only egg-whites, sugar, cream of tartar, and extract. They are, of course, gf because of the ingredients.
