Guest guest
>>>Helen wrote>>>I always say add a little splash of orange it will make you sparkle even if its a flower or a purse or earrings it just adds to the outfit that you wear I haven't planted anything that blooms orange... and I don't usually wear orange either...never could coordinate lipstick with anything orange, but I love the color. My daughter wears alot of orange and it looks good on her. All the flowers that I've planted bloom yellow, fuschia (pink), purple, and white. At one house that we lived in, I planted reds, oranges, and yellows, but that house had dark red brick. My mom thinks I'm nuts because I won't plant certain colors next to others if I don't think they 'go together'. LOL. This house is white/limestone colored brick with green roof, trim, and shutters, so I thought that pinks, purples, and yellows went better than reds and oranges. I planted a lot of choleus in pots this year. They're a dark magenta and purple, but for some reason look a bit too red for my taste. Too dark colored and with all the green trim on the house I need brighter spring colors. I have a set of vintage metal lawn chairs that I painted pink to add a bit of whimsy since everything, to include our sheds and outbuildings, is green and white. Hubby calls them my pink flamingo chairs. LOL. hugs, Janet

Guest guest
You're toooo funny, Miss Alberta!! Before we moved out here to the country, we rented a small ranch near town. The lawn around the house was nothing but weeds, so my mom asked me if I was going to put down some weed killer. I told her 'heck no!' At least the weeds stayed green year around. Why the heck would I ruin a perfectly green yard, just to plant grass that I'd have to keep fertilized and watered??? Stupid me planted St. Augustine when we built this place. It takes way too much water and way too much of my time. Thanks for making me laugh, Alberta! hugs, Janet
