Maybe the stray - fry isnt from the fryer but the "drain board" thingie that they dump the fries/nuggets on. Maybe they are mixed up then? Just a thought. I eat the fries around my house (NJ) with no problems.

I'm sure it's bc the cheese is unhealthy...hahahaha...sorry, couldn't resist that. I'm with you, those are the two I like the best! Esp. the cheese and bacon...talk about a way to quickly un-healthify a potato!

I just hit the 's drive thru and ordered my usual chili and baked potato (a staple in my lunch diet). In the bag was a flyer that they will continue to carry the sour cream and chives potato but in the near future will be discontinuing the brocolli cheese and bacon cheese options :( I can't tell you how sad this makes me!!! I've already contacted their customer service to let them know I wish they would keep them, but who knows the reasons why. Just thought I would share, sorry if you already knew this.--WOW! Are 's FFs GF?

Funny because last night my BF called as I was on the way to his house to say he

was in

the 's drive through and I might beat him to the house. I said to ask if

they do their

fries in a separate frier. He said he knew they were not safe bacause there is

always a

bonus fry in his chicken sticks so therefore I could not have any of his fries.

What do you

think? Caring BF or selfish fry hog?

Could be both!!!

Actually, I happen to know that it does vary by 's. Some do, some don't. Sigh.

I say selfish fry hog. I've checked all of the 's I eat at and they

have dedicated fryers. I don't know if it's company policy but all the

local ones around here seem to do the same thing :)

I checked their site and their fries are not on the GF list. Blah!

I do have to stick up for him and say he is a caring BF and usually not a fry

hog. One of

the things that is making me really believe that GF is better for me is that he

is not usually

someone to embrace specific diets and was skeptical, though supportive, about

the whole

idea at first. Now that I went back on gluten to get tested and then back off,

he is really

embracing it. As in, " I don't think you can eat that - did you check? " because

it is not yet

second nature to me and I need a back up. I think I must be very hard to deal

with on

gluten!

I fall into the same " hard to deal with " category with gluten. One of my

main symptoms is mood swings. Now after a bad day at work if I come home

crabby, my 4 year old will ask " Mommy, did you eat gluten today? "

I guess it is a regional thing from the other responses, but in my case I'd

be dealing with a fry hog :) I'm happy to report that I am the fry hog in

this family and have no problem eating their french fries (from a dedicated

fryer!).

Either way, give your friend a pat on the back. It's nice to have

supportive friends :)

My local 's does NOT have safe fries.

Some 's somewhere may, but mine does NOT.

You'd have to talk to the manager. Has any bread EVER been in that

fryer? Show me where you cook the nuggets. Etc.

Okay, that's fine if they aren't. I don't ever eat them anyway. My

concern isn't the fries. It's the other stuff. She was saying that

nothing was okay, so that is what I was questioning. :)

I just want to make sure that I understand correctly. I don't want

to give up 's as an option when we travel. I don't want to

feel stuck with Mc's as the only quick option. Otherwise I

don't eat there, but I LOVE the baked potatoes and the chili and

it's CHEAP!! YEA!

's is a national chain. Based on this thread, I guess some used

dedicated fryers and some don't, so who's to know what other

differences there may? Your best bet is to ask careful questions at a

specific 's and decide then. My local 's isn't safe, yours

might be.

The baked potatoes aren't always safe. Some 's locations don't

cook them in foil jackets, so anything that's on a server's glove

will be transferred. If they *are* cooked in foil jackets, they must

be un-cut, as the knife used to cut is often the same knife used to

cut sandwiches in half on request.
