I started using the Sage skincare products about a year ago after seeing a

recommendation for the cleanser on the Kleinman beauty site.

Unfortunately, I didn't realize that I had an undiagnosed case of rosacea at

that time, and used a lot of their products which were awful for rosacea! May

have really kicked my rosacea into full gear. Most of her products are geared

toward young women with acne vulgaris, not acne rosacea, and are very harsh

and/or damaging for sensitive skin.

Recently, though, she did come out with some BHA products that don't contain any

glycolic acid, and I've found them to be much less drying for my skin that the

a's Choice BHA lotions. Sage's BHA does provide some calming,

non-inflammatory relief for your skin and clearing of pores.

Her cleanser is great for removing makeup, but it really is not that gentle.

I've cut down to using it just once a day in the evening when I need to remove

my makeup as well as cleanse, but I've switched to a gentle cleanser for the

A.M. that my derm sold me, and I think my skin's a little happier.

Hope that gives you some idea. Sage's products are very expensive, but overall

I would say that their BHA gel lotion for rosacea and sensitive skin is a good

buy. Just be careful about any of their other product lines -- as I say,

they're most definitely not for sensitive skin.
