Rhonda--

I understand how people get the wrong ideas about chiros (there are

not-so-good-ones out there just like in any profession) but I'm glad you've

looked into it and feel it's worth a try. I guarantee you'll benefit greatly

from it--and why wait till your pregnant? Go start getting things 'lined up'

before it happens!!

I'm really not trying to be pushy about it--it just is such a great thing

that so many people shy away from because they think it's silly or heard some

horror story about so-n-so's cousin's brother...........I just really

recommend it for everyone. And if you go to one you don't particularly care

for, go find another. Ok, I'm getting off the soap box now!! :-) Take care!

"I will look in my health Insurance papers to see what it says about coverage"

Our local chiropractor gives a deal - 6 visits for $100 *if* he doesn't have to bill insurance. What with co-pays and deductibles, it makes sense to go that route even if your insurance does cover it.

I'll bet many chiropractors offer that kinda deal since insurance coverage for their practice varies so widely.

Fawn,

Is chiropractic like massage therapy--the benefits accumulate with

repetition of treatment? I used to go to a RMT when I danced in college.

Over the years I have continued semi regularly (inc. during pregnancy).

Amy--

In that sense yes, you have to go over a period of time, it's not a one

shot fixes all type of thing. DH explains it to people like getting braces

on your teeth--it takes the steady application of pressure to correct the

problems that have existed for years. Then the maintenance is like getting a

tune up or oil change on your car--just keeps everything working smoothly.

Many chiros around here have a massage therapist in the office although dh

doesn't. His office is really too small to dedicate a room to a massage

therapist but I think if it was bigger he would. Glad you find relief with

one!

Take care!
