Thanks! Me too! Two friends are taking me out for Indian food tonight - the kind of restaurant where you sit on pillows on the floor. And tomorrow some friends are taking me to the California Culinary Academy for lunch. If anyplace should be aware of celiac, I would think it would be CCA! Maybe they should hire me to grill the students about the menus. :o)

Unfortunately, the Dark Chocolate with Almonds Candy bar has been temporarily discontinued and is not available at this time. Our Quality Assurance department has advised that we have recently reformulated our products and we have eliminated wheat as a direct ingredient in all of our candies. Therefore, none of our products contain gluten as a direct ingredient and cross-contamination is no longer a possibility. We do wish to advise that our Malt Truffle contains malt powder. We are still in the process of changing our packaging labels and do not expect to have this completed until later this year. Some of our product labels still list wheat as an ingredient. However, wheat is no longer used as an ingredient in these products.I hope this information is helpful. YEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

The little celiac and I were talking last night that stopping by See's

for a few pieces in a bag to share together was high on the list of

" things we miss the most " - I'm calling them Monday to see if the

reformulated chocolate is in the stores yet.

Soon as it is, chocolate truffles, here we come!

I've been sick for six weeks with a sinus infection, laryngitis, bronchitis and Thursday was our 49th wedding anniversary. So, my husband, knowing how I love Scotch kisses from Mrs. See's went out and bought me a bag of them + a big box of candy and roses. We couldn't go anywhere because we both were too sick, but we stayed home and pigged out on Candy and had a steak dinner which my husband cooked. It was wonderful and I didn't get sick from the candy.
