Guest guest
Well I hate to say this BUT if I am craving something to eat I usually eat it if I have it, but, to keep from going on a binge of eating I usually get busy in my craft room and make crafts OR I get on the computer and play games. If I am at the computer I do not eat. I also can get a book and get lost in it and don't even think of food. Peppergloria scott wrote: GOOD MORNING FELLOW FISHERWOMEN!! Guest guest
It's really strange I have been planning my meals and eating healthy for 10 weeks now and my cravings have stopped. THANK GOD, knock on wood, whatever. I have planned a number of snacks including 1 medium size Reese's Cup (80 calories) or ice cream snack and up to 2 homemade milkshakes a day. (80 calories plus whatever you add) If I start a craving, I tell myself to wait 7 minutes and it will go away or have one of my planned snacks and keep busy. I play a lot of internet games at night. Now a word about my milk shakes. One cup skimmed milk with crushed ice. Add sweeter and vanilla. I put into a 32 oz glass and use my hand blender and make it frosty. A regular blender works also but I just use a straw and the same glass for serving. 80 calories because all you have is a cup of skim milk. Now to make it better sometimes I add 2/3 cup frozen strawberries (35 Calories) or a frozen banana (120 calories) Tip: Before my banana's go bad I peel them, wrap individually in plastic wrap and freeze. When using frozen fruit you do not need as much crushed ice (if any) and it it better on the hand blender. Sometimes I add a Tablespoon of chocolate syrup (55 calories) Carmel Syrup (50 cal) or/and cold left over coffee. Feel like I went to Starbucks for the Carmel lite Latte. There is so much you can do with my basic milkshake and it fills you up and the craving is gone. Plus you are getting your calicum. Even diet soft drinks taste great when mixed this way-the choice is yours Enjoy. Guest guest
Avoiding food cravings isn't too much of a problem for me. I just do not keep any unhealthy food in the house. If I'm just dying for some ice cream, or cheetoes, or some other such thing, I have to get in the car and go to the store for it. It's just not worth the effort. I just drink a glass of water, eat some sugar free jello and soon forget all about what I might have been craving.
