Guest guest
Carolyn, don't get discouraged. Just put the brakes on and get turned around. I decided that I'm not gonna wait another day... another week... another month... or another year to start making positive strides. I made up my mind after weighing in with yet another gain last week that I was not going to continue down that road.... it wasn't taking me where I want to go. Join me in getting back on track. We've got so many good examples on this email loop of "what TOPS can do" to inspire us. We just have to make the choice to make the necessary changes and follow their lead. We CAN do it! Your gain this past week most likely was water weight from the long car ride and not being able to prop your legs. You can get that off in no time now that you're back home. As far as being at a weight that you haven't been at in over two years.... we all need a 'wake up call' every now and again. Let that be your's. Use it to your advantage. Use it as your 'cap' and tell yourself that you've reached that point again... didn't care for it... and are now going to make sensible choices to move that scale back down again. Know that you and your health are worth every change that you need to make! (((encouraging hugs))) :-) Janet >>>Carolyn wrote: I hate to report this week. I had a 5.5 lb gain. Most (at least 1/2 or more) is fluid. I went to Louisiana to do a little gambling and the car ride, sitting in the casino and not being able to prop up my legs at night did a number on me. Even though I took my fluid pills on Thursday and was able to sleep with my legs propped up Wednesday nite, the swelling just didn't go down enough by the time of weigh in on Thursday nite. I haven't weighed this much in over 2 years.
