Laser successes

I have been receiving VBeam laser treatments every 6 weeks since this fall. I

have had four treatments on my nasal fold area and three treatments on my cheeks

and chin. My cheeks are a good 60% better but I see no improvement in my chin

and

none on my nose, the two areas most affected my rosacea. In fact, the redness

is

spreading in the nose area. I know that since the VBeam is gentler than the

standard pulse dye laser that improvement takes longer. However, I am

wondering,

has anyone has success with VBeam treatment?

the side of the mouth, upper lip and sides of the nose. "

Several months ago, I tried to persuade 2 colleagues who are knowledgeable

in laser treatments, to join this support group and answer questions posted.

However, because of their very busy schedules, they could not make the

commitment. I am happy to inform you that one of them has graciously agreed

to answer your questions by e-mail through her medical staff. She is Dr.

McBurney of Slidell, Louisiana. Dr. M is one of the laser pioneers

and a lecturer on lasers at the American Academy of Dermatology meetings.

She uses VBeam to treat rosacea patients. She is also familiar with other

forms of lasers such as versapulse etc. She has also tried IPL. You can

e-mail her at skincarespecial@.... I told Dr. Mcburney that if she gets

overloaded, she can elect to answer the various questions once and I will

forward her answer to the group. She is very busy, so it may take time

before she answers. Please keep your questions brief. Hope you can get some

clarification from a laser practitioner.
