I wanted to wish everyone a very Happy New Year. I'm hoping that this

year I can finally get this cea under control. I haven't checked

in for a while. My symptoms have been constant redness,

hypersensitivity, photosensitivity, feeling heated and sweating and

facial burning when exposed to sun and flourescent light. I have

tried many regimens to no avail. The most sucess that I have has has

been with using a very strong antihistamine called doxepin, but that

hasn't completedly worked. I've tried sulfacet, klaron, noritate,

metrogel, antibiotics ,antihistamines, aspirin, and tried a bout with

beta blockers but they were too strong and didn't work for me . As

you can gather I've been very frustrated. I've gone to multiple derms

but noone has the answer. I have noticed that my extreme feeling of

heat and sweating has subsided and I dont believe that this is due to

anything that I'm taking orally. I am currently not on any oral

medication and use the creams on a episodic cases and continue to

experiment. Please advise is the the cessation of my feeling

overheated and sweating a sign that I'm making some progress in

getting better? This feeling of sweating and overheating use to occur

at least once a day. My main concern at this point is the constant

redness, not just episodic flushing but constant redness and the fact

athat my skin is so very sensitive. Can someone recommend a new cream

or regimen that I haven't tried? I would appreciate any insight.

Happy New year and thanks for listing to my frustrations although I'm

hoping to beat this or at least get to a comfortable level in the new

Year.
