Guess we just have different definitions of what specific pain is, to me, that's a specific pain and should be checked out first. IMHO, if you suddenly develop any kind of pain that you have never had before, you should get it checked out by a medical doctor before heading to the chiropractor. If they say they can do nothing for you, then think about heading to a chiropractor. Personally, I wouldn't want to have anyone adjust me who hadn't seen x-rays first. Both of the chiropractors I went to, would not adjust anyone for the first time, who didn't have fairly recent x-rays as they both recognized that they could cause more damage than good in someone who had a specific medical problem such as a herniated disk. In my dad's case, he has a specific problem caused when he was twisting while moving a toilet. His doctor checked him out, and then recommended going to the chiropractor to fix it. The chiropractor did get rid of my dad's pain. But both my dad and I went to medical doctors long before going to a chiropractor. Just ask the guy here in Charlotte, who keeps moving houses without getting permits or permission to put his houses on the land he wants them on before he starts moving them! Been to New Bern, or should I say, I've broken down in New Bern before. Darcy
