I am down about 140 since 8/23/01 and as supposed tomeet with the surgeon but I am scared. My surgery was LAP so recovery was quick but this is more involved. It sounds fron your postings that it went well for you. You have such a positive attitude it seems like it was not too difficult. Guest guest Posted September 2, 2001 Report Share Posted September 2, 2001 hello yes on 3 of my hernias they used netting and on one of them it had to be fixed twice because it came through the netting did your insurance pay for the tummy tuck because i am still fighting for the breast reduction i am a 56 HHH and my back and neck and chest are killing me from the weight of the breast i had my surgery in april of 2000 and have lost 240 pounds so i hope the insurance co. will o.k. this after 7 times being denied good job on your weight loss thats great also how intensive was the tummy tuck and how much pain aftrewards and how are you limited afterwards as far as doing stuff and moving around jeaniep Re: hmmm? anyone know? > DEAR JEANNIE > I AM DOING JUST FINE. Guest guest Posted September 4, 2001 Report Share Posted September 4, 2001 DEAR PRISILLA THE SURGERY WASN'T AS NEARLY AS BAD AS THE GASTRIC BY-PASS BUT I WAS CUT 24 INCHES FROM THE LEFT SIDE OF THE BACK TO AROUND THE WHOLE FRONE AND ON THE OTHER SIDE JUST TOWARDS THE BACK. WE MEASURED IT AND THE INCISION WAS 24 INCHES LONG. I KNOW SOMEONE THAT HAD THE TT DONE AND BECAUSE OF THE WAY HER DOCTOR ENDED THE STITCHING ONE SIDE HAD LIKE A BULDGING HANDLE SO I TOLD MY DOCTOR ABOUT IT AND I SAID I DO NOT WANT A LEFT OVER HANDLE SO HE SAID THAT HE WOULD HAVE TO GO A LITTLE TO THE BACK NOT TO HAVE THAT SO I TOLD HIM TO DO THAT. I AM VERY PLEASED AND I AM STILL RECOVERING. I CAN DO EVERYTHING BUT AT NIGHT ONE SPOT IS SENSITIVE. ACTUALLY I AM THINKING OF GOING BACK TO THE DOCTOR AND SEE WHAT HE SAYS. I WILL SEE.
