That cream that you are talking about was the same cream that we use to use when we picked cotton. It helped our hands alot. We also used a lotion called Cotton Pickers freind. I know the stuff we used that cow milkers used was called Udderly Soft Lotion. pepperramirezej@... wrote:

I don't know how to milked a cow

I actually di milk cows when I was younger and it wasn't in no dairy where they have the machines. We did it by hand.....just poor old dirt farmers. In Indiana we were farmers, moved to Texas and they call the same thing down here Rancher's.

If Melody finds us a cow I'll show you how to milk her!

Love ya,

The same here...We grew almost all our food even the emat but I did not eat fresh eggs either. I would not eat the meat if I saw the animal alive. NO WAY. Even today I do not like to think of the meat being live animals at one time. yeah i know it is silly, but, thats the only way I can eat meat. LOL peppermwdw@... wrote:

I never even knew what store milk tasted like as a child. I didn't like the milk when it from fresh from the cow (still warm) but loved it when it was cold. We churned our own butter then also. In fact we got very few thing from the store. If we didn't grow it, we didn't eat it. My mom grew everything in her 5 acre garden.

Never milked a cow before. Never even been to a farm to " visit " a cow before. I

touched one through the gates at the rodeo one time and I think it peed. Does

that count? LOL!

Re: Melody's back

I've only milked a cow one time......once when I was a kid. I think it was

my granddad who showed us the correct way to milk a cow.
