I know what it says, but for years everybody has been So afraid of EMTALA

because although it's clear, it's ambiguous at the same time. I definitely agree

with better screenings, don't get me wrong on that.

Read the EMTALA statutes carefully. It specifically addresses seeking

treatment and stabilization of an *emergency* condition.
