Guest guest
E-mailed GM regarding their pocliy re gluten ingredients in their products. This is the response I got. KerriNote: forwarded message attached. Yahoo! Autos. Looking for a sweet ride? Get pricing, reviews, more on new and used cars. Dear Ms. Brennan: Thank you for contacting General Mills regarding gluten in our General Mills products. We want to assure you if the ingredient label does not list wheat, barley, rye, oats or gluten containing ingredients sourced from these grains, then the product would be gluten-free. Sources of gluten are listed on the label even if the source of gluten is part of another ingredient (such as flavoring or spice). Because ingredients may vary from one package to another due to product reformulation, you should use the product’s ingredient label to provide you with current and accurate information. Additional information regarding gluten may be obtained by contacting your health care professional or: Celiac Sprue Association/United States of America, Inc. PO Box 31700 Omaha, NE 68131-0700 Or toll free: 877-CSA-4-CSA () www.csaceliacs.org We hope this information is helpful. Sincerely, Jack Stone General Mills Consumer Services >Original Message From: klbrn4@... > > What is your polciy regarding declaring gluten containing ingredients on your labels? Guest guest
Thanks so much for posting General Mills's response That's exactly what I was told when I initially telephoned them regarding the Islandberry Crunch cereal. I also emailed them a few days ago to tell them the positive buzz regarding the cereal due to it's GF status and that it was such a great new option for us. They responded thanking me and that they would be passing the information about this on. I am quite sure that if there was gluten in this product they would have responded quite differently.
