That's so cute! My son does almost the same thing (he's 4) at daycare. He is always telling me, when he brings things in, he says that his friends can't have any bc it will hurt their bellies.

Hello all...Just had to share what my little SillyYak has been saying (he will be three years old in April). Whenever he doesn't want to share something with his older (non-celiac) sister and brother, he tells them that they can't have it "because it has gluten-free in it!" :)One of these days he'll get the hang of the GF thing, but I thought this was a cute one :)C

Those are both so cute! It's funny how their minds process things! I mean - it makes sens that if their gluten food hurts his belly, then his food must hurt theirs. Like leaded gas in an unleaded car! :o)

That's cute. Sometimes, when our 4 year old doesn't want to eat

something... she will try to say that it " might have gluten in it. "

She definitely knows what has gluten and what doesn't have

gluten.... but the other night she was trying to say that some

julienned red, green and yellow peppers (in a stiry fry I made) may

have gluten. (she said it with a little smile...) She ended up

having a few of the peppers anyway.

I love it. Kids are so cute.

It reminds me of the time I made some gf brownies and my college aged son and his friends were scarfing them down. I always tell people when something is gluten free. One boy turned to the other and asked, what's gluten? The other boy said, I don't know but it must make food taste bad because this is sure good.

That made me smile.

I was hanging out with my friends tonight in our dorm room and they

were snacking on triscuits (I had my rice and nut crackers). They

were some rosemary and olive oil flavor and she wanted me to smell

them. I just joked around and said " no you might gluten me. " :)

When I was little and my dad or mom was eating something that

contained gluten but looked yummy, i would sometimes ask for

a " sniff. " My Dad said it broke his heart, but it was fun for me to

experience the " flavors " of the sauces etc. I don't enjoy the smell of

gluten things, though, like breaded things or cake etc.
