Guest guest
Pepper ~~~~~ HOW SWEET !!!!!!! What a precious young girl to want to do that for others !!!!!! Such a special girl with a special grandmother !!!!!!!! Hugs and love, Randie LOUISIANNA Today my 10 year old granddaughter came to me after school and asked me if I had about $20.00. This was really out of character for her because she never asks me for money. I looked at her and said I don't have it right now but I would have it by Friday and asked her what she needed it for and this was her reply. "Well I want me and you to go to those cheap stores, (they are warehouse resale stores that sell bent cangoods for like .25 a can) and I want to buy it all up in food for the shelter here that has them people that has no home. Also I am going to go through all my toys and give a lot of them away" Then she went on that I need to give all the things I have for a yard sale to them. I wanted to sit down and bawl. She is only ten years old and she is crying for these people. So we went to the trailor where I have a lot of stuff stored and started going through it and boxing it up. Also, all the stuff that was left over from my daughter;'s garage sale sale we are boxing up to take there also. She has some really really nice items of clothing that my grandkids have out grown. Altogether we have a truck load of stuff to take to the shelter. I think we may take it to the astrodome though because there are thousands of people there. We are also going to go door to door in thier neighborhood and in ours and ask for cangoods to take there. This is so sad. This is about the first time my gilrs, (granddaughters) have worked together with out complaining and worked together. They are 10 and 13 and usually fuss about everything and not one time did they fuss while we were in that trailor working. I think maybe the shelter at the community building will be our first stop. There will probably be plenty helping the dome I too have been to New Orleans many times and it is so sad to see what has happen there. Mississippi is in no better shape. I ahve 2 cousins that lived in the Slidell area and we ahve not heard anything from them also. So we are all worried about them now. Thier sister that lives in Missouri is going to tell them if they call to call us and we are going to go pick them up if we can. Lets get a lot of prayers going for all those in need. Guest guest
cousins that lived in the Slidell area and we ahve not heard anything from them also. Pepper, I have a cousin & his son that live in Mandville, just outside New Orleans which we have not heard from either. Also an aunt & uncle and another cousin that live in Meridan, Ms that we can not get in contact with. This is all one family....I'm just praying that Jeff & his son went to Meridan to his Mom & Dad's and that they are all alright. Meridan was in the path that Katrina followed inland.
