Guest guest
Ok, I'm so full of questions!! I'm so thankful to have a place to ask them though! Should I drink my mother's milk tea now or should I wait and see how my milk supply does? Cam has an appt next week to be weighed, so I should know then if he's gaining or not. I feel like he's getting enough-should I save the tea for when I notice a dip in my milk supply? And just how do you notice a change in supply? Love, Mommy to since 10-5-98 and Cameron since 8-10-00 jackpot@... http://users.pld.com/jackpot/oneyear/oneyear.htm
Guest guest
, don't worry about drinking the tea. It sounds as if he is doing very good. You are making plenty of milk if he is wetting and pooping. (which it sounds like he is) If you really like tea and want to drink some it won't hurt, but you are doing great. Just keep nursing your baby on his cue and he will grow and thrive at your breast! Good work! Guest guest
You can start drinking it anytime you want to, but you might want to save it until after Cameron's two week appointment. The first growth spurt is around three weeks, so if you start the MMT after the two week check up you can boost your supply ahead of his demand increase and ease through that period. How much? Drink a couple of cups a day--made per the package instructions. Amy Lynn mother to 1-25-98 and 2-10-00 ps Glad that C's nursing schedule is easing up a bit today for you. It will probably be pretty constant until his growth spurt now. If you let him go longer at night between feedings, he may go 1.5 to 2 hours between during the day to compensate though. Hee hee! Thanks for the ego boost!! I think I'll save the tea for when I go back to work and may have a dip in supply due to pumping a couple of feedings.
