Did you contact a " Cranial Technologies " place or did you email a

similar one? We went to the CT in Dallas and the eval was free...you

do have to get a script for a band no matter where you go. Where do

you live? There is a list on this board of " band friendly " PEDs, but

Kaiser is going to be tough b/c I bet you cannot go out of network.

Maybe you could get the eval(make sure it goes toward the cost of the

band), get measurements and the measurements will warrant a

script/medical necessity. Is this something you are definitely going

to pay out of pocket or are you still going to try for insurance?

> HI! So I emailed the DOC people about getting an evauation for my

dd. (after getting no where w/ Kaiser) Anyway, they said the Eval was

$225. And even after the eval they would need a drs script for the

band. I thought I read on here that the evals were free, No? Where was

that? Also, does anyone have any helpful tips on where to go to get

an unbiased eval with a ped or specialist that wouldn't be so spendy?

Do Childrens or Shriners hospitals have a sliding scale or anything.

Does anyone know where I might find that kind of finacial help? I

want so desparately for my dd to get help - with 4 other kids we just

don't have the cash righ now - kwim?

stuff is different - But this is Jen and Luli! :-)
