Guest guest Posted May 17, 2001 Report Share Posted May 17, 2001 I feel pretty useless in this. I lived in New York State from 1984 till 2000, but I was just south of Ithaca, in Tompkins County. I was involved with The Alcoholism Council in Ithaca as the Significant Other of the Alcoholic back in the mid '80's, oh, around '85, '86, '87. Officially they did push the 12-step stuph, although the guy who was counseling me did say that there were people who had successfully left the program. I was on my way out at that point.
