Sorry . I could have put in the all important " patients " into

the " (for ages 12 and older) " phrase. It is funny how our first

interpertation of statement is often so far from what was intended.

For me, headlines cause the most frequent misreadings.

You got me on this one. I thought you were being funny….like if we

weren't 12 years old we wouldn't be able to figure out the calculator

and use it safely. But it refers to the age of the patient whose

MELD/PELD we want to figure. Silly me. So much for my under 12 year

old pee brain.
